Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in McAlester, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

The City of McAlester is accepting sealed bids for the installation of restrooms/enclosed control room, pavilion, sidewalks, and patio seating at Mullen Park located at North A St and W. Springer Ave. Interested parties may obtain an RFP Package from the Purchasing Office, 28 E. Washington, McAlester OK or by phone at 918-423-9300 ext. 4932. Construction of restroom/enclosed control room in the size, type, and location as specified in the attached specifications. 2. Construction of a covered pavilion in the size and type as specified in attached specifications. 3. Electrical and plumbing work as specified in attached specifications for equipment. 4. Construction of 2 ADA sidewalks as specified in the attached specifications. 5. Construction of patio seating as specified in attached specifications. SCOPE OF WORK Installation of Mullen Park Improvements 1. Construction of a 20' by 20' restroom/enclosed control room as specified in the attached drawing. Concrete slab to be constructed with reinforced steel as per attached specifications. Structure is to be constructed from decorative concrete blocks on the exterior and regular concrete blocks for the interior walls. Roof to be constructed of metal. There is to be no wood/lumber used in the construction. All doors will be ADA accessible. There will be two separate ADA restrooms consisting of a toilet, sink, electric hand dryer, toilet paper dispenser, and mirror. All made from stainless steel and firmly attached to the interior walls. There will also be a baby changing station mounted to the interior sidewall of each restroom. As shown in the drawing, there will be an ADA accessible stainless steel water fountain firmly attached to the exterior wall between the restrooms. There will be a floor drain in each restroom attached to the sewer. The City will be responsible for water, electric, and sewer lines to be brought within 6 feet of the exterior wall. Contractor will be responsible for installation of all electric, water, and sewer from that point. 2. Restroom electrical will consist of electric for the hand dryer and motion activated interior lights. The chase way will house all plumbing for the toilet and sink with cleanouts. The chase way will consist of breaker box capable of handling an outlet for a space heater, lights with switch, two 110 outlets, and two 110 outlets for the pavilion. 3. Construction of a 16' by 20' pavilion as shown in the attached drawing. Pavillion slab will be of reinforced concrete as per attached specifications. Pavilion and roof supports will be constructed from steel and painted the color of decorative blocks. Color decision will be made by the Cityand contractor. Roof will be constructed of sheet metal and in a color to be determined by the City and contractor. There will be two electrical outlets mounted to the front and back supports. The contractor will be responsible for connecting the electrical outlets to the control room breaker box. 4. Construction of six patio seating areas as per attached drawing. The seating will be 8 foot long, 18-22 inches wide with a height of 18-22 inches as agreed upon by contractor and the City. There will be a concrete foundation of reinforced steel and at least 4 inches thick. The patio seating will be constructed from the same decorative blocks as the restroom and will have a concrete cap. 5. Construct two ADA accessible sidewalks as per attached drawing and per ADA specifications.
