The scope of work includes repairing and coating exterior wall envelope surfaces, renovating the interior of the building by removing and replacing existing ceilings and light fixtures, and repairing and painting interior painted surfaces. The project also involves multiple add alternate scopes such as removal and replacement of damaged sidewalks, repairing and coating existing landscaping walls, and installing spray foam insulation at roof decks. All work, including alternates 1 and 2 if accepted, must be completed within 120 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. If alternate 3 is accepted, an additional 30 calendar days will be added to the contract time. All bids must be submitted electronically or in person using the provided bid form. Only a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check shall be submitted as bid security, amounting to five percent (5%) of the base bid plus additive alternates. Electronic copies of the front and back of the check or bid bond are required if bidding electronically. The bid must include either a Corporate Resolution or Certificate of Authority authorizing the bid signer. The successful contractor will need to execute performance and labor and material payment bonds for the full contract amount. All contractors bidding $50,000 or more must be licensed for Building Construction and show their license number on the bid envelope. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) participation is strongly encouraged.
