Eight 69kV Voltage Transformers for Various Substations. Each bid must include a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check as bid security, with electronic copies required for electronic submissions. Bidders must sign bids in accordance with regulations and submit a Corporate Resolution or Certificate of Authority with the bid; failure to do so will result in rejection. Bids must be submitted on the quotation form provided with the specifications. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid plus additive alternates, payable to Lafayette Consolidated Government. Bid bonds, if used, must be from companies licensed to do business in Louisiana and meet specified rating and domiciling requirements. The bid security ensures contract execution within ten days if awarded. Bids cannot be withdrawn for at least forty-five days after opening. Bids will be evaluated on the lowest responsible and responsive bid that complies with the documents. DBE participation is strongly encouraged, and assistance in identifying DBE businesses is available. The Lafayette Consolidated Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. 3. The DELIVERY SITE shall be LUS Warehouse, 1210 Walker Rd., Lafayette, LA 70506. SCOPE: 1. These documents relate to the furnishing and delivery of inductive voltage transformers and accessories and the supplying of services described herein. 2. All equipment covered by these specifications shall be applied, designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with the applicable sections of the latest Standards of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the National Electrical Manufacturer's Association (NEMA), the National Electric Safety Code (NESC), ASTM formerly the American Society for Testing and Materials, the American Welding Society (AWS), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and in accordance with generally accepted good engineering, manufacturing and operating practices as generally observed in the electric utility industry. 3. The General Conditions, any and all addenda and all other articles and divisions of the specification, together with all drawings, are a part of this specification and shall apply to the SUPPLIER whether they are mentioned in this article or not. 4. Failure to specifically mention certain details and/or accessories necessary for the successful operation of the equipment shall not relieve the SUPPLIER of the responsibility of furnishing such details or accessories.
