Reference Number 0000308560 The DP Decommissioning MSA is crucial to ensuring the safe and efficient decommissioning of the remaining Douglas Point site. It will support the internal decommissioning of the Reactor Building, the removal of the Spent Fuel Tunnel Package, the removal of Service Building Equipment, the demolition of the Service Building, and the demolition of the Reactor Building, as well as final site remediation, including waste handling, processing, and packaging. Segmentation and preparation of the waste of the Reactor calandria is requested to be included as an option in the bids. The scope of this MSA will NOT include the following: Storage with Surveillance, Maintenance Activities, Purification Building Demolition, Nuclear Building Isolation and Perimeter Trenching, Reactor Building crane and Floor Hatch reinstatement, Reactor Building Dry Active Waste removal, Reactor Building Phase 1 Hazard removal, Select DP Internal decommissioning activities that will be performed prior to award of the MSA and Transfer of Spent Fuel The Contractor shall provide Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services for the remaining DP Decommissioning. The selected contractor is to propose modifications to the Douglas Point site. The contractor will be asked to submit a schedule that facilitates completion by 2036, considering that decommissioning of the Reactor, Reactor Building, and Spent Fuel Canisters will not be permitted under the existing licence until 2030. Waste transport and processing will be included in proposals; CNL will provide the results of a Waste Study to ensure consistent waste volume estimates.
