Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Plainfield, Vermont. Conceptual plans call for site work for a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel.
The Town of Plainfield is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ)s from engineering firms (Consultants) for engineering services for the Bridge #12 Replacement Project in the Town of Plainfield. The Town is seeking a Consultant or Consultant Team with expertise in designing, engineering, and permitting. The procurement process for selection of the Consultant will be a Qualifications Based Selection (QBS). The project will entail the development of a replacement structure for Bridge #12, located on Brook Road in Plainfield, which was destroyed on July 10, 2024, due to significant rainfall causing Great Brook to overflow. The project also includes the restoration of areas of Brook Road that were washed out during the same event, stretching from Bridge #12 to the intersection with Gray Road. Project development must follow the VTrans Municipal Assistance Section (MAS) process. Proposals will be accepted by email, and the email transmission must be clearly identified as an SOQ, including the project name. It is requested that the bidder inform the project manager prior to submission to avoid the proposal being relegated to SPAM or junk email files.
