**As of February 19th, 2026, the project is canceled. Project is no longer needed.** The scope of work is the removal and replacement of 66 windows in Randolph Town Hall, 41 S. Main Street, Randolph, Massachusetts. Instructions to bidders: Bidders must participate in a walk through escorted by a member of Town staff prior to submission of a bid. Sealed proposals must be submitted to the Office of the Town Clerk, Randolph Town Hall, 41 South Main Street, Randolph, MA 02368. Bids should be titled "BID FOR REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF TOWN HALL WINDOWS Town of Randolph" attention Monica Lamboy." Minimum requirements are included in the detailed Invitation for Bid. The Town of Randolph reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the proposals received if deemed in the Town's best interest to do so. The sizes and quantities are estimates only. Bidder is responsible for performing independent measurements and counts. Town takes no responsibility if measurements are incorrect. Notes: - Row 1 - all operable awning windows are adjacent to fixed windows that can only be accessed from the exterior of the building. The fixed windows will not be replaced so care will need to be taken to not damage or otherwise affect the fixed windows (see Appendix A, photo # 1 and 2) - Rows 2-3 - windows are adjacent (see Appendix A, photo # 3 and 4) - Rows 4-5 - windows are adjacent (see Appendix A, photo # 5 and 7) - Rows 6-7 - windows are adjacent (see Appendix A, photo # 6 and 7) - Row 8 - window sits above a double door (see Appendix A, photo # 8) All windows must be Energy Star Most Efficient certified for the Northern Region with a U-value of 0.3 or lower. Windows shall be vinyl clad, wood frame. Screens required on all operable windows. Window trim shall be white. All windows must be installed from the outside. Existing interior trim and frames to remain in place. Town Hall is open 5 days per week, except for federal holidays, and evening meetings occur several nights per week. Detailed coordination between the selected bidder and the Town will be required to develop a detailed schedule and communicate the schedule to affected employees so that they are prepared to vacate their offices as needed to facilitate the window installation. Randolph Town Hall is a historic structure built in 1909. Care must be taken to ensure that the new windows are aesthetically compatible with the design and not impact exterior building elements during window removal or installation.
