The City of Sunnyside is inviting Statements of Qualifications from firms interested in providing professional municipal engineering and aviation services for the 2026-2028 calendar years. The selected consulting engineering firm will provide various municipal engineering services for water, sewer, drainage, street, and airfield projects, as well as comprehensive plans, municipal planning, traffic studies, capital facilities plans, rate studies, technical reports, cost estimates, environmental reviews, funding applications, surveys, plans, specifications, services during construction, funding administration, and support for City staff. The scope may include design, plans, specifications, and construction services for projects that could be funded by state, federal, and local programs. Statements of Qualifications must be limited to thirty pages, excluding a one-page cover letter and covers, and should be submitted electronically in PDF format. Selection criteria include key personnel; firm experience with engineering and planning, plans, specifications, and cost estimates, and environmental/permitting processes; familiarity with Sunnyside or similar municipalities; experience with state and federal funding programs and regulatory agencies; and past performance/references. The most highly rated firm will be selected for negotiation of a professional services contract. Interviews may be held at the City's discretion.
