Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Lyons, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.
The work consists generally of the following: removal of stumps and general grading, installation of 18-inch RCP storm drain (including flared end sections and 2 storm boxes), installation of 370 linear feet of curb and guttering, placement of 1,067 square yards of graded aggregate base course at a 4-inch depth, laying of 305 tons of 12.5 mm paving at a 2-inch thickness, provision of 40 square yards of rip rap outlet protection, grassing, pavement marking, and all appurtenances necessary for a complete job. All work must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days of the notice to proceed. Bid shall be submitted on Bid Proposal Forms furnished for that purpose. The project is a design-build, contractor at risk. No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City prior to the deadline and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond for 10 percent of the amount of the bid. Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened. No bids may be withdrawn for 60 days after the opening. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook or disregard informalities or irregularities in the proposals.
