Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of a water / sewer project in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade water / sewer project; one-story above grade water / sewer project; and one-story above grade water / sewer project.

The project consists of replacing the existing main filter plant, including ground storage reservoirs and booster pump station, with Water Treatment Plant 1 at a new site, and turning Well 9 site into Water Treatment Plant 2. Work will be conducted at the Main Filter Plant Site, Water Treatment Plant 1 Site, Water Treatment Plant 2 Site, Well 4 Site, Well 5 Site, Well 8 Site, Well 9 Site, and Well 10 Site. Work at the Main Filter Plant Site includes demolishing two ground storage reservoirs, main booster pump station, maintenance shop, and Well 4 building. Water Treatment Plant 1 will be located on the west side of Boyd Street, south of the city pool, treating water from Wells 4, 5, and 10. Work includes extending the raw water transmission main from Well 5, and constructing a new building with a concrete foundation, precast concrete wall and roof panels, pressure filter water treatment system, reverse osmosis water treatment system, a 750,000-gallon ground storage reservoir, pressure filter backwash storage tank, reverse osmosis concentrate water storage tank, main booster pumps, chemical feed injection systems, chemical storage rooms, office/laboratory room, electrical room, toilet room, mechanical room, geothermal heating system, electrical equipment, SCADA equipment, engine generator, site piping, storm water pond, and site work. Water Treatment Plant 2 will be located at Riverside Park to treat water from Wells 8 and 9. Work includes constructing a raw water transmission main from Well 8 and consists of demolishing the Well 9 building, renovating and expanding the Well 9 filter plant building, as well as providing a new building addition. The building will have a concrete foundation, precast concrete wall and roof panels, wellhead, well discharge piping, pressure filter water treatment system, reverse osmosis water treatment system, an approximately 15,000-gallon finished water ground storage reservoir, reverse osmosis concentrate water storage tank, main booster pumps, chemical feed injection systems, chemical storage rooms, electrical room, public restrooms, storage room, geothermal heating system, electrical equipment, SCADA equipment, engine generator, site piping, storm sewer, and site work. Work at Well 4 includes demolishing the building and constructing a new one with concrete foundation, precast concrete wall and roof panels, mechanical piping, HVAC equipment, electrical equipment, SCADA equipment, engine generator, site piping and site work. At Well 5 the work includes replacing well discharge piping under the building, providing an engine generator, electrical equipment, replacing site piping, and site work. At Well 8, work consists of renovating the building by removing the pressure filter tank, replacing well discharge piping inside and under the building, providing a raw water transmission main booster pump, engine generator, electrical equipment, and replacing site piping. At Well 10, the work includes providing an engine generator and site work. Bids will be received for a single prime contract on a unit price basis as indicated in the bid form. Bids must be on provided forms and as per the contract documents. Bidders are required to submit a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the bid amount as a guarantee. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds for 100% of the bid amount. Bidders must submit a proof of responsibility and attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting to be eligible. Bids may not be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. Equal opportunity and affirmative action requirements apply and prevailing wage rates must be observed. Use of American iron and steel is required, and federal funding conditions apply.
