This is an Invitation to Bid from the City of Melbourne, Housing & Urban Improvement Division The scope of work shall include all labor, materials, equipment, permits, drawings, and services necessary for the proper completion of the work in accordance with the specifications detailed in the Work Write-Up and General Specifications. All rehabilitation work must be carried out in compliance with the locally adopted 2020 Florida Building Code 7th Edition. In cases where compliance with these codes are impractical and/or cost-prohibitive, contractors will be required to comply with the code to the extent feasible as determined by the Building Department. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex (including gender identity, sexual orientation, and pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability, or genetic information. It is also illegal to retaliate against a person because he or she complained about discrimination, filed a charge of discrimination, or participated in an employment discrimination investigation or lawsuit.
