Site work for a water / sewer project in Evanston, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Work on this project includes rehabilitation of approximately 4,000 feet of brick combined and storm sewer main, 36-inch and 48-inch in diameter along with approximately 4,400 feet of vitrified clay pipe, 8-inch to 30-inch in diameter, using cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining. Pre-qualification requirements: Only bids from prequalified bidders who submitted a response to CIPP Sewer Rehabilitation will be considered. Bids from bidders who were not prequalified will be rejected. The Evanston City Council also reserves the right to award the contract to an Evanston firm if that firm's bid is within 5% of the low bid. CONTRACT PERIOD: 200 Days from Notice to Proceed The City of Evanston has a goal of awarding 25% of its contracts to MinorityOwned, Women-Owned, Disadvantaged Enterprise and Evanston-based businesses (M/W/D/EBEs). Question Deadline 01/09/2026 All questions related to this bid document should be submitted in writing to Cheryl Stuart, Purchasing Specialist at cstuart@cityofevanston.org with a copy to James Knuth, at jknuth@cityofevanston.org. Only inquiries received a minimum of seven (7) working days prior to the date set for the opening of bids will be given any consideration. All work at Site Numbers 2-11, 19, 20, 32, 36-38, & 41 must be completed by June 1st , 2026. No extension for work at these sites will be permitted as this work must be completed prior to the scheduled 2026 Capital Projects at these locations.
