Sealed bids are being solicited for the removal and disposal of snow as required on village streets. The work involves providing labor and equipment, including but not limited to a minimum size 10-wheel dump truck and a corresponding machine to move snow, with one or two operators per vehicle, to assist village crews. All bids must include a non-collusion statement. Bidders who are in arrears or who have previously performed unsatisfactorily for the village will not be considered responsible bidders. The village may reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and adjust contract specifications. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder qualified by past experience. The successful bidder must maintain Workers Compensation Insurance, Automobile Liability Insurance, and General Liability Insurance with specified limits, naming the village as an insured party, and provide originals of these policies. Any omissions, alterations, or irregularities in the submission may be cause for rejection. No bids will be accepted after the specified date and time. Bidders are advised to inspect the worksite and become familiar with local conditions. Equal opportunity requirements apply, and bids from minority and women-owned entities are encouraged.
