Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Chadbourn, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The proposed project includes complete demolition and replacement of the existing Aeration Basin #1 at the Town of Chadbourn Wastewater Treatment Plant (located at 5275 Chadbourn Hwy, Chadbourn., NC 28431). The existing basin is part of the original 1970 plant that was built with sloped concrete side walls and soil bottom. The new basin to be constructed is a similar size (same treatment capacity) rectangular shaped concrete structure with vertical walls and solid concrete bottom. The project also includes installation of a new fine bubble aeration system mounted to the concrete floor, connections to existing site piping, and other miscellaneous restoration activities.
