The project is expected to be awarded on January 2026** Sealed proposals are requested for shingle roofing replacement at the Lockhart Elementary School under the contract for general construction work. Bids must be made using the standard proposal form and conform to the specifications. All bids must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, clearly marked with the job name, and include the name and address of the bidder on the outside. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Massapequa Union Free School District in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, as a commitment to enter into a contract and provide further security as required. Only contract documents obtained via the designated provider are considered official, and completeness of documents from other sources is not guaranteed. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, or accept portions of any bids as they deem in the best interests of the school district. There is no scheduled pre-bid conference, but site visits can be arranged with the district’s architect or construction manager if required by bidders. Bidders must hold their bid price for forty-five days after the formal opening and provide certification of their bonding company.
