Site work and paving for a civil project in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The Work is at various locations in Districts 7, 8 & 11 of San Francisco, California and consists of pavement renovation, curb ramp construction, drainage, environmental, traffic control, and all related work. 450 consecutive calendar days from NTP to Substantial Completion. 1) Class A license required to bid. 2) Pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code (Administrative Code ) Section 6.25 and Chapter 25 of the Environment Code, Clean Construction is required for the performance of all work Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 25% LBE. Question Deadline 01/03/2026 Prior to receipt of Bids, should a Bidder find discrepancies, ambiguities, or conflicts in the Bid Documents, or should there be doubt as to meaning of a provision or requirement, the Bidder shall notify at once the City in writing using theQuestions on Bid Documents (QBD) form The City may not answer questions received less than 10 calendar days prior to the date for opening Bids Paving Work includes, but is not limited to: 1. Traffic routing work; 2. Excavating, removing and disposing of existing pavement, concrete base, parking strip, curb and sidewalk; 3. Supporting and working around existing utilities; 4. Handling all drainage or ground water; 5. Removing surplus material; 6. Cleaning project site; 7. Furnishing and placing of backfill material; 8. Constructing 2-inch thick asphalt concrete wearing surface over 8-inch thick concrete base, 10-inch thick concrete base, 10-inch thick concrete pavement, 8- inch thick concrete parking strip, 6-inch wide concrete curb, 3- 1/2 -inch thick concrete sidewalk, concrete curb ramps, 2-foot wide concrete gutter, 1-foot wide concrete gutter, doweled concrete median or island, and doweled 6-inch wide concrete curb; 9. Resetting existing granite curb; 10. Adjusting City-owned manhole frame and cover to grade; 11. Adjusting City-owned catch basin frame and grating to grade; 12. Adjusting City-owned castings to grade; 13. Performing all related and incidental work, all where and as shown on the Drawings and in accordance with the Project Manual. B. Drainage Work includes, but is not limited to: 1. Performing traffic routing for drainage work. 2. Mobilization and De-mobilization for drainage work. 3. Trench and excavation support work. 4. Constructing cast-in-place or precast concrete manholes. 5. Mortaring manholes. 6. Constructing 12-inch diameter bell and spigot type extra strength vitrified clay pipe (VCP) on crushed rock bedding wrapped in geotextile fabric 7. Lining 8-inch, 10-inch, 12-inch, 15-inch, and 2'x3' main sewers and culverts with Cured In-Place Liner. 8. Post-construction TV inspection of newly constructed main sewers, side sewers, and culverts. 9. Abandoning, removing, and disposing of existing sewers and related structures, where indicated on contract plans. 10. Constructing cast-in-place and/or precast concrete catch basins with curb inlet. 11. Constructing 10-inch diameter VCP culverts. 12. Post-construction TV inspection of newly constructed culverts. 13. Abandoning and Removing Existing Catch Basins. 14. Plugging existing culverts. 15. Furnishing and installing connections to and between sewers, structures, and culverts; bypassing sewer flow from main sewers, side sewers, and culverts during construction. 16. Saw cutting, removing and disposal of existing pavement. 17. Excavation, backfilling, and compaction of trench. 18. Performing all related and Incidental Work. 19. Performing necessary work due to unforeseen conditions. 20. Performing all related and Incidental Work; supporting, working around and protecting certain San Francisco Water Department, Fire Department and other utility agency and company facilities in conjunction with the work under this contract; and all appurtenant work required in accordance with these Contract Documents and in accordance with Standard Specifications of Infrastructure Division, Department of Public Works dated November 2000.
