Renovation of a transportation facility in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The HVAC Replacement at Special System Rooms (SSRs) Project (Project) will replace cooling equipment serving SSRs within the Dianne Feinstein International Terminal (DFIT), Terminal 2, and Terminal 3. SSRs are a critical part of the Airport's Information Technology & Telecommunications infrastructure network, providing essential services such as data and telecommunication for users in the terminals. The scope of work will replace end of service life cooling equipment for 11 SSRs and integrate each into the Airport-wide building automation system for control and monitoring. This will allow for improved operation, tracking, and maintenance of equipment. California Class "B" license is required at the time of Bid. Pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Section 6.21(a)(4), Bidder must submit a corporate surety bond or an irrevocable standby letter of credit on forms provided by the Airport, or a certified check in an amount equal to 10% of amount bid, including all allowances and Alternates, if applicable, with its Bid. San Francisco Administrative Code Section 6.22(a) requires all construction contracts awarded by the City and County of San Francisco in excess of $25,000 to include performance and payment bonds. The bonds shall each be in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Sum. Bidder acknowledges and agrees that this Bid, if not withdrawn prior to the scheduled time for receipt of Bids, shall not be withdrawn for a period of 90 days thereafter. The total Contract Time is 487 consecutive calendar days. The Work shall be Substantially Complete within 396 consecutive calendar days after the effective date indicated in the Notice to Proceed as established by the AIRPORT, and Final Completion in accordance with Article 9 of Document 00 72 00 (General Conditions). The Final Completion date is 487 total consecutive calendar days after the effective date indicated in the Notice to Proceed as established by the AIRPORT Liquidated Damages. It is understood and agreed by and between CONTRACTOR and CITY that time is of the essence in all matters relating to the Contract Documents and that CITY will suffer financial loss if the Work is not completed within the above-stated Contract Time, plus any extensions thereof allowed in accordance with Article 7 of Document 00 72 00 (General Conditions). CITY and CONTRACTOR further understand and agree that the actual cost to CITY which would result from CONTRACTOR's failure to complete the Work within the Contract Time is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to determine. Accordingly, CONTRACTOR and CITY agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty), CONTRACTOR shall pay CITY the amounts set forth in Document 00 54 39 (Contract Time and Liquidated Damages) for each calendar day that expires after the above Contract Time and the Work remains incomplete. The Airport Commission specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids or to waive technical defects in bidding. Bidders are solely responsible for the cost of preparation of Bids. The estimated cost of construction is $6,300,000 - $7,100,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Notice to Proceed May 2026 Contract Duration: 487 total consecutive calendar days Scope of Work: o Air Handlers o Fan Coils o Condensing Units o Air Inlets and Outlets o Ductwork o Fire Dampers o Tie-In and Integrate the New Controls o Structural - Deferred Submittal o Fire Alarm - Deferred Submittal 6. AL2 Allowance for Partnering a. For this allowance Item, Contractor shall provide Project partnering facilitator services as requested by the City Representative and performed in accordance with Document 01 31 33 (Partnering Requirements). b. Contractor will be compensated for all Work under this Bid Item based on actual costs approved by the Airport. All required supporting documentation, invoices, reports, copies of written communication, and tags shall accompany any payment request for this Bid Item. 7. AL3 Allowance for Panel Load Study Modifications a. For this allowance item, Contractor shall provide any necessary adjustments, labor, materials, fieldwork, incidentals, testing, and anything necessary to install fully functional mechanical and electrical systems resulting from the electrical panel load studies (Refer to the Drawings) and requiring a deviation from the Drawings and Contract Documents. 8. AL4 Allowance for Fire Alarm Modifications a. For this allowance item, Contractor shall provide any necessary adjustments, labor, materials, fieldwork, incidentals, testing, and anything necessary to install fully functional fire alarm systems requiring a deviation from the drawings and Contract Documents resulting from existing fire alarm conditions. 9. AL5 Allowance for HVAC Controls Modifications a. For this allowance item, Contractor shall provide any necessary adjustments, labor, materials, fieldwork, incidentals, testing, and anything necessary to install fully functional control systems requiring a deviation from the Drawings and Contract Documents resulting from existing HVAC controls conditions.
