Site work for a water / sewer project in Nebraska City, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Sealed bids are requested for the grading of a ditch, culvert installation, and other related incidental work located on the south side of K Road, beginning at the intersection of Road 68 and continuing east approximately 0.4 miles. The project, referred to as "Nebraska City South, C-66(693)," includes all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required for approximately 0.4 miles of channel grading and stabilization, culvert installation, and related incidental work. The contractor is required to maintain at least one lane of traffic open on K Road for the entire duration of the project. All bid proposals must be submitted on forms provided with the bid documents. Along with the proposal, bidders must submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the County Treasurer of Otoe County, Nebraska, amounting to five percent of the total bid. Bidders must also provide a Start and End of Construction date. The successful bidder is allowed fifty calendar days for completion after beginning work, subject to their specified completion date, with possible extensions for weather granted at the engineer's discretion. Within ten days of award, the successful bidder must furnish a surety bond or bonds equal to or greater than the full contract amount, with the surety and form subject to acceptance. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive irregularities.
