BASE BID - Off Grid Solar and Energy Storage: Provide design and construction services to furnish and install functioning solar panels, solar rack and wiring, power storage and equipment, concrete footings for solar rack, trenching for power lines, and construction of wood storage shed. For solar system: Provide stamped electrical plans for UCB approval, showing connections to electrical components, line layout, clearances, trenching depth, to meet 2022 CA Electrical code. For concrete footings at solar rack: Provide stamped structural engineering detail and calculations for UCB approval that complies with 2022 CA Building Code. ALTERNATE - Bathroom Addition to Bunkhouse: Construct bathroom addition and partition walls to existing bunkhouse. Install plumbing connection to existing septic system. See drawings and specs for scope. Bidder Qualifications: Each bidder must submit a Contractor’s Special Statement of Experience on letterhead, documenting a minimum of three and a maximum of five comparable projects with a construction value at award of $300,000 or greater, completed in the past five years, all projects within the state of California, with detailed project information. Also list all projects on UC Campuses and National Labs completed or currently working within the last 5 years. Bidders are required to register for documents online. Only those attending the mandatory virtual pre-bid meeting may bid as prime contractors. License required: “B” - General Contractor. Bidders and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. The work is subject to prevailing wage and equal employment opportunity requirements.
