Renovation of Lab 166 at Birge Hall. Demolition of existing systems to accommodate installation of new walk-in fume hood, laboratory sink, and eyewash. Re-route central utilities to better support existing lab equipment. Furnish and install new walk-in fume hood and all other equipment and utilities as noted on the drawings. Bidders must submit a Contractor’s Special Statement of Experience documenting successful completion as prime contractor of a minimum of three and a maximum of five comparable dry laboratory projects, each with a construction value of $200,000 or greater, completed in the past five years that included installation of a new fume hood. All submitted projects must be within the nine Bay Area counties. Each project must include name, address, owner name, contract value, total change order value, completion date, owner’s representative contact information, and a description of comparability to the current project. Bidders must also list all dry laboratory projects on UC campuses and National Labs completed or currently worked on in the last five years. Bidding documents are available through BuildingConnected. Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and Site Tour attendance is required for eligibility to bid. Only those attending the entire Site Tour may bid as prime contractors. The successful bidder must have a current and active California 'B' General Contractor license and comply with applicable labor, nondiscrimination, and prevailing wage requirements.
