Renovation of a detention facility in Pacific, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade detention facility.
Scope: The project includes improvement needs in the food preparation area including but not necessarily limited to the following: Replacing the quarry tile floor finish. Replacing sanitary sewer lines, floor drains, trench drains, electrical outlets, cleanouts and other related sanitary sewer or electrical components embedded in the floor. Work shall also include the replacement of separation wall between commercial cooking pots, miscellaneous repairs/restoration of walls, doors and the addition of wall covering to improve sanitary conditions, for the ease of cleaning and care requirements. Project Location: 18701 US Highway 66, Pacific, MO 63069 B. MBE/WBE/SDVE Goals: MBE 0%, WBE 0%, and SDVE 3% 1. Comprehensive upgrades to the food preparation area to improve long-term performance, sanitation, and code compliance. Scope includes removal and replacement of existing quarry tile flooring with durable, non-slip tile and integral cove base over a prepared and leveled substrate, with epoxy-based setting and grout materials for durability and cleanability. The under-slab sanitary sewer system will be fully replaced with new hubless cast iron or PVC piping, floor drains, trench drains, floor sinks, cleanouts, and venting in accordance with current plumbing codes, coordinated with kitchen equipment layout. Electrical outlets and connections in the hood area will be replaced with moisture-resistant, code-compliant devices and conduit. Select wall demolition and replacement will include installation of hygienic stainless steel wall panels, infill of existing doors and windows as required for tray returns, and construction of new CMU partition walls beneath kitchen hoods with high-performance epoxy paint finish to provide physical separation and routing of utilities. Concrete slab areas affected by demolition or leakage will be repaired or topped with a selfleveling concrete surface to restore smooth, durable, and sanitary conditions. 2. Alternate 1 shall include extension of sanitary piping from the restrooms routed to the exterior, bypassing the grease interceptor, and tying into the existing sanitary line. Work shall include trenching, installation of new piping and fittings, connection to existing utilities, temporary construction fencing, and site restoration including backfill, grading, and seeding. The contract performance time is 120 working days Question Deadline 01/13/2026 Bidders shall make all requests for interpretations in writing and submit all requests to the Project Designer and Project Manager . Supplementary Conditions with all necessary supporting documentation no less than five (5) working days before opening of bids. No Bidder shall be entitled to rely on oral or written representations from any person as to the meaning of the plans and specifications or the acceptability of alternate products, materials, form or type of construction.
