Special Inspection services to support a full renovation of the existing building, Friendly Hall. Project location is 1161 E 13th Ave. Eugene, OR 97403. The owner is the University of Oregon c/o Design & Construction. The Owner's Representative is Martina Oxoby, Senior Owner's Representative, Campus Planning & Facilities Management. The Project is approximately 45,000 square feet of type 111B construction, four stories and two stories above grade, with a lowered basement. All questions associated with this RFP process shall be submitted to Martina, via email at moxoby@uoregon.edu with the Subject Heading "Friendly Hall Special Inspections RFP" The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Friendly Hall was constructed in 1893, with major additions in 1909 and 1914. It is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The project involves restoration, reconfiguration, and upgrades to address deferred maintenance; comply with current fire and life safety, accessibility, and seismic standards; and upgrade the facility for modern academic use. The project includes a two-story addition and site upgrades. This 45,440 SF building will be fully-sprinklered, Type IIIB construction with 4 stories above an occupied basement. It will be a mixed-occupancy building with non-separated uses. The main building occupancy will be Group B and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a Construction Manager-as-General Contractor (CMGC) contract.
