Site work for a water / sewer project in Kelso, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Drainage Improvement District No. 1 is seeking proposals from qualified, experienced vendors for the purchase of a closure structure for the Cowlitz River Levee at the north end of the Rocky Point BNSF tunnel, and all training necessary to facilitate the District's deployment activities. Detailed information can be found in the Request for Proposals (RFP) document available on the District's website. Submittals must arrive no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the Cowlitz County Department of Public Works, Attention Patrick Harbison, P.E., Assistant County Engineer. Submittals will not be accepted after that date and time. Proposals must address the cost of the closure structure and the following required capabilities and/or functions: 1. Prevent water intrusion across railroad tracks in an opening approximately thirty-four (34) feet wide and hold back water approximately two (2) feet in depth. 2. Ability to be stored in garage or outbuilding. 3. Ability to be deployed and removed in under sixty (60) minutes by District staff, partners and volunteers. 4. Require minimal improvements to railroad tracks.
