Hermitage Municipal Authority will receive sealed bids online for the Gabion Wall Repair project in Mercer County, PA. Repair and replacement of an existing gabion wall for streambank stabilization, erosion and sedimentation controls. General Contractor's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparation and coordination of initial progress schedule; periodic reviews and updates; providing copies of shop drawings to affected contractors; coordinating layout; site utilization by all Contractors; inspection and testing; monitoring of temporary services; advising Contractors of Work requiring coordination; startup and intra project communications; and completion and cleanup; all in accordance with the Contract Documents. Project location: 2133 Broadway Road, Hermitage, PA A certified check or bid bond for the amount of 10% of the total bid is required, issued by a surety licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Bidders must register at the PennBID website to obtain all project documents and submit bids online. All bidders must bid on all items listed on the Bid Form. The successful bidder is required to furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price and must substantially complete the project within 180 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Bids must remain open for 60 days from opening, or 120 days if there is a delay due to approvals, bond sales, or grant awards. The contract is subject to various federal and state conditions, including the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, OSHA, Pennsylvania Act 229 of 2002, Pennsylvania One Call Act, Pennsylvania Human Relations Act 222, non-discrimination in employment, non-collusion/sexual harassment affidavit, and the Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Act.
