The work includes lining approximately 820 linear feet of 36” reinforced concrete pipe culverts and associated work in Bassett, Virginia. Bids must be submitted on a firm unit price basis for each of the bid items identified in the Base Bid Schedule of the Bid Form section, with the Total Base Bid Price being the cumulative sum of the extension of the bid quantities times the unit prices for each bid item. Bidders are required to obtain the contract documents and all addenda from the specified procurement site and must check for addenda within 24 hours of submitting a bid. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security as described in the Instructions to Bidders, and the successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds as described in the General Conditions section. Bidders must possess appropriate qualifications, resources, and experience in sanitary sewer pipe and manhole replacements in developed areas and must submit evidence of Certificate of Registration as required by the Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and will determine the successful bidder based on the lowest, responsive, and responsible proposal in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date of bid opening except as allowed by the Code of Virginia. The Owner encourages participation from Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) and/or Minority or Women Business Enterprises (MBE or WBE) and requires compliance with all relevant federal and state non-discrimination and labor regulations.
