Sealed bids are requested for the Senate Committee Rooms Renovation project. Contractors wishing to bid must adhere to Arkansas licensing laws and be licensed before submitting a bid. Each bid exceeding $20,000.00 must be accompanied by a bid security amounting to 5%. Small, minority, and women-owned business enterprises are encouraged to submit bids. General contractors are also encouraged, when subcontracting, to consider these enterprises. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities. Four Senate Committee Rooms will undergo renovations to create consistency, improve cohesion, and maximize public audience seating. Work consists of removing existing millwork, providing power and data receptacles for new furnishings, replacing light fixtures and re-lamping pendants, painting walls and ceilings, and installing new millwork for committee member seating. Project locations include the First Floor Room 171, Second Floor Rooms 207 and 272, and Third Floor Room 309.
