The Massachusetts Department of Youth Services, through state contract FAC120, is requesting quotes for snow plowing services for its Brewster facility located at 456 Flax Pond Road, Brewster, MA 02631. Attached is a detailed scope of work, which includes a brief price breakdown at the bottom. If you are willing and able to complete this work, please respond to our request as soon as possible. Fac120 This Contract will provide snow plowing and salting/ice melt services for the Department of Youth Services (DYS), the juvenile justice agency for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, at its facility ("Facility") located at 456 Flax Pond Road, Brewster, MA 02631. The Facility is located inside Nickerson State Park. The access road, from Route 6A at the entrance to the State Park to the Facility, is approximately 1.25 miles long. This road, and all parking spaces and other paved areas, must be cleared as needed so that they remain operational throughout the winter months. During extremely heavy storms a front-end loader may be necessary to move excess snow. The Contractor must promptly respond to calls throughout the day or night in all weather conditions and must arrive at the Facility no later than two hours after being called. The Contractor will check in and check out with DYS Facility staff to establish start and end times for billing purposes. Billing will start upon the Contractor's arrival at the Facility. An allowance (_ hr.) will be made for the Contractor's plowing or salting of the roadway from Route 6A into the Facility to check in. The Contractor will need to coordinate with Facility staff to organize the moving of vehicles to maximize plowed areas. A Salt or ice melt approved product is to be used. The Contractor, after discussion and approval from the DYS Facility Director or Maintenance Supervisor, may pretreat the paved surfaces to aid in keeping the surfaces clear.
