Summary by References Work of the Contract can be summarized by references to any Contract Documents such as Contract, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Specification Sections, Drawings, and Addenda and Modifications to the contract documents issued subsequent to the initial printing of this project manual and including, but not necessarily limited to, printed material referenced by any of these. B. Scope of Work The City of Columbia (City) owns the Columbia Hydroelectric Project (Project), located in Columbia, South Carolina. The goal of the City is to return the Project back to operation. Rehabilitation of the headworks is required to meet that goal. The project's Scope of Work (SOW) to rehabilitate the headworks generally consists of the following tasks: o Miscellaneous general repairs o Structure stabilization o Replacement of headgates and operators o Design of trash racks o Construction of debris holding area for the trash raking and debris removal system o Upgrade of the electrical power supply o Replacement of the lock gate o Headworks dike repairs A. The scope of work consists of the Headworks and Ancillary Structures, Systems, and Components (SSC) and the site/civil work at the East (left) abutment and related features in the park. B. The Headworks and Ancillary SSC's is further broken down into definable features of work. A definable feature of work means a part or a portion of the project can be treated and/or substantially completed as a smaller, standalone project in its own right.
