Renovation of a mixed-use development in Colton, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Each bidder's bid must be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security: (1) cash; (2) a cashier's check made payable to the District; (3) a certified check made payable to the District; or (4) a bidder's bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, made payable to the District in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. Such bidder's security must be in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of bid as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed Contract, if the same is awarded to such bidder, and will provide the required Performance and Payment Bonds, insurance certificates and any other required documents. In the event of failure to enter into said Contract or provide the necessary documents, said security will be forfeited. Separate payment and performance bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total Contract amount, are required, and shall be provided to the District prior to execution of the Contract and shall be in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. Question Deadline 01/07/2026 Each request for clarification shall be submitted in writing, via email, to only the following persons: TO: JoAnn Baeza, Director of Purchasing Joann_baeza@cjusd.net CC: David Bell, Director of Maintenance and Operations David_Bell@cjusd.net Scope of Work - Alice Birney Elementary School, Audiovisual System Supply / Installation Project Overview Project Title: Multipurpose Room (ABES/MPR) Audiovisual System Installation Project Number: 026-19JB - Alice Birney Elementary Location: Alice Birney Elementary School (1050 E Olive St, Colton, CA 92324) The project includes procurement and installation of audiovisual components and related accessories to create a fully functional presentation and sound system for school use. General Requirements Furnish and install a complete and operational audiovisual (AV) system in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and manufacturer recommendations. Coordinate with the owner, architect, IT team, and other trades to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Conduct a pre-installation site survey to verify conditions, power availability, and cabling pathways. Provide a detailed installation plan and schedule, subject to owner approval prior to commencement of work. Equipment Supply Supply all audiovisual equipment, components, and accessories as specified or equivalent approved models, including displays, projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, cameras, control systems, cabling, mounts, racks, and associated hardware. Ensure all supplied equipment is new, factory-sealed, and compliant with current industry standards and regulations. Provide all necessary mounting hardware, connectors, adapters, and interconnects for a complete and functional system. Installation and Integration Perform installation, mounting, and alignment of all ELEC / AV equipment in accordance winstructions and approved shop drawings. Route, terminate, and label all signal, control, and power cables in accordance with EIA/TIA 568 and 569B standards. Integrate all components into a cohesive and user-friendly system, ensuring compatibility between devices and networks. Configure and program all ELEC / AV control systems, DSPs, and user interfaces for optimal performance and usability. Testing, Commissioning, and Quality Assurance Conduct system testing, calibration, and performance verification for all devices and subsystems. Ensure all cabling, terminations, and connections are properly installed, labeled, and tested for continuity, polarity, and signal integrity. Provide a final system demonstration to verify full functionality and compliance with design intent. Submit detailed test results and commissioning reports for owner review and approval. Compliance and SafEnsure all installations meet fire safety, accessibility, and equipment ventilation requirements. Implement necessary dust control, protection, and cleanup procedures during and after installation. Documentation and Training Provide complete as-built drawings, equipment lists, configuration settings, and wiring diagrams in both printed and digital formats. Supply operation and maintenance manuals for all installed systems and components. Conduct user orientation and hands-on training sessions for end-users and facility staff, covering operation, basic troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures. Provide post-installation technical support for a defined warranty period as specified in the contract. Warranty and Post-Installation Support Provide a minimum one-year warranty on all workmanship and supplied equipment, unless otherwise specified.
