Site work for a civil project in Paulding, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project; one-story above grade water / sewer project; and one-story above grade water / sewer project.

The project will include comprehensive improvements to the Wayne Street Lift Station, the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), and the sanitary sewer system. At the lift station, work will involve installing a new level transducer with associated electrical and controls, replacing the control panel, and adding a permanent natural gas generator with an automatic transfer switch. Additional upgrades include the installation of bollards, a new submersible pump, a precast concrete top on the wet well with a new access hatch and fall protection, and a davit crane for safe equipment handling. At the WWTP, the scope includes removing existing chlorine disinfection equipment, making minor structural modifications, and installing a new ultraviolet disinfection system. Other tasks include modifying existing telemetry systems, adding stabilization bracing to sludge dewatering piping, removing existing valving and a sampling port, installing new valves for the Sludge Dewatering Lift Station, and converting the existing transfer switch to an automatic transfer switch. Sanitary sewer system enhancements will consist of installing 12 new sanitary sewer manholes with full-depth composite lining and investigating potential cross-connections between the sanitary sewer and stormwater collection systems along Harrison Street. Work shall be constructed under a Unit Price Contract. The Owners reserve the right to waive any informalities or minor defects in bids or bidding procedure, or reject any and all bids, or to accept the bid from the lowest most responsible and responsive bidder as exclusively determined by the Owners. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof. No Bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Should there be reasons why the contract cannot be awarded within the specified period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the Owners and the Bidder determined by the Owners to be the lowest most responsible and responsive. Submission of a signed Bid by the Bidder constitutes acknowledgment of and acceptance of all the documents and terms and conditions of the Contractual-Legal Requirements and Technical Sections of the specifications in the Project Manual. The bid security shall be furnished in accordance with Instructions to Bidders (Article 8). The Contractor to whom the Work is awarded will be required to purchase and maintain insurance coverage as described in the Contract Documents on an occurrence basis. All Contractors and Subcontractors involved with the Project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their Project. Additionally, Contractor compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Domestic Steel Use requirements as specified in Section 153.011 of the Revised Code apply to this Project. Build America, Buy America (BABA) and American Iron and Steel (AIS) requirements apply to this Project. In accordance with the Davis-Bacon requirements, all contractor and subcontractors are required to pay not less than the Federal prevailing wage rates published by the U.S. Department of Labor for each classification of Work performed on this project. All questions shall be received no less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids. A. The Contractor shall develop and provide a computer-generated Critical Path Schedule. B. The Contractor shall keep the computer-generated schedule up-to-date and shall use the schedule for scheduling, coordinating, mitigating time issues, and monitoring the Work. C. Construction schedules shall meet the time constraints, milestones, and completion dates that are specified in the Contract Documents. A. Work under this section includes, but is not limited to, the provision and installation of Non-Clog Centrifugal Pumps as shown in the Drawings including pumps, motor, hatches (incl. safety grating), vent, and other appurtenances. B. Related work specified elsewhere includes but is not limited to, the following: 1. Site Work - Division 2 2. Mechanical - Division 15 3. Electrical - Division 16 A. Scope: Furnish and install davit crane and hoisting equipment and appurtenances necessary to complete Work shown or specified. 1. Hoisting equipment shall be complete with crane, hoist, base mount, and appurtenances. All components of the crane and hoist shall be furnished by one manufacturer. B. Codes, specifications, and standards referred to by number or title shall form a part of this specification to the extent required by the references thereto. Latest revisions shall apply, unless otherwise shown or specified.
