The project consists of all labor, materials, equipment and supervision, and performing all work necessary to repair 18-inch in diameter and about 300-feet in length of storm drain pipe in the City of Alhambra. Bids must be prepared on the approved Proposal forms in conformance with the Instructions to Bidders and submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the City of Alhambra for an amount no less than ten percent of the amount bid. No bid will be accepted from a Contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of the Business and Professions Code. The successful Contractor and their subcontractors will be required to possess business licenses from the City and a valid California license. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularity, and to take all bids under advisement for a period of sixty calendar days. The successful bidder shall possess either a Class A, C 34, or C-42 license or a combination of appropriate Class licenses at the time this contract is awarded. The Contractor shall complete the work within forty-five calendar days of the effective date of City's notice to proceed with construction. In entering into a public works contract, the Contractor or subcontractors agree to assign to the awarding body all rights, title and interest in causes of action under the Clayton Act or Cartwright Act, arising from purchases under the contract. Payment will conform to Section 9-3 of the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, 2015 Edition (GREENBOOK). Compliance with prevailing wage laws and non-discrimination provisions is required.
