Bids from qualified contractors to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the construction and installation of new bus stops with shelters in Holland, Ohio. This project is part of TARTA's broader initiative to enhance accessibility, safety, and rider experience across its service area. Question Deadline 12/22/2025 at 3:00 PM ET Question Response Deadline:January 2, 2026, 3:00pm To ensure timely execution and contractor availability, the project is being bid during the winter months, with construction scheduled to begin in the spring. This approach allows for early contractor engagement, competitive pricing, adequate lead time for procurement of materials and shelter components( if required), completion of necessary site plan reviews and permitting with Springfield Township and Lucas County agencies, and coordination with seasonal weather conditions to avoid delays and ensure quality installation. The scope of work includes the installation of bus stop infrastructure such as concrete pads, shelters, benches, signage, and ADA-compliant access paths. The project will focus on multiple locations throughout Holland, with a particular emphasis on the Walmart stop, which will serve as a key transfer and ridership hub. Richard L. Bowen & Associates Inc. will provide construction management services for the Walmart location (Only), ensuring quality control, schedule adherence, and coordination with stakeholders. This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is issued in accordance with TARTA's procurement policies and applicable federal and state regulations. All work must comply with ADA standards, local zoning and permitting requirements, and TARTA's design specifications. TARTA is committed to improving the rider experience and expanding equitable access to public transportation. The Holland Bus Stop Improvement Project is a strategic investment in infrastructure that supports increased ridership, safety, and community connectivity. The selected contractor will work closely with TARTA's Capital Projects team to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of the project. The Walmart location, due to its high ridership and visibility, will serve as a model for future stop enhancements. This site will include a larger shelter, enhanced lighting, and improved pedestrian access. TARTA's Capital Team will partner with Richard L. Bowen Inc. for the Walmart Project. Other stops in the Holland area will be upgraded to meet TARTA's new design standards, with a focus on durability, accessibility, and aesthetics.
