Site work and new construction of an industrial development in Monona, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a 4,800-square-foot, one-story above grade industrial development; and 8,400-square-foot, one-story above grade industrial development.

The project consists of constructing a new maintenance facility and bus garage. The base bid includes the construction of a 60-foot by 80-foot maintenance building, while an alternate bid covers the entire project, which adds a 60-foot by 140-foot bus garage. The work will involve commercial wood post-and-frame construction, concrete foundations and slabs, and interior finishes such as gypsum board with painted surfaces, casework, interior liner steel, and railing systems. The scope also includes complete mechanical, plumbing, and electrical installations, as well as civil construction for site preparation and related work. All construction must comply with applicable codes and standards, and all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project as specified must be provided. All bids shall be on the forms provided in the specifications for the project. The provided forms of proposal shall be submitted at the required time. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check or certified share draft, in a separate sealed envelope in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. If bid bond is submitted, it must be on an approved AIA bid bond form. Bid security should be made payable to the Owner. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Contractor's Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond on an approved AIA form in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities and irregularities, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid.
