Renovation of a municipal facility in Southampton, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade municipal facility.
Sealed bids are invited for a single prime contract for capital improvements at the District Office. Bids will be received at the Southampton Administration Office Building at 300 Hampton Road, Southampton, NY, and publicly opened and read aloud. Contract documents can be examined at the office of the architect or obtained digitally or as hard copies for a specified fee. Addenda will be sent to registered plan holders. Bidders obtaining physical copies are responsible for shipping arrangements and costs. Bid deposit for hard copies will be refunded upon return of the documents in good condition within thirty days after the bid date, except for the lowest responsible bidder, whose deposit will be forfeited upon award. A non-mandatory pre-bid site walk-through is scheduled at the project location. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or all proposals may be rejected. The school district reserves the right to waive informalities, accept or reject alternatives, reject any proposals, or advertise for new ones, as determined to be in its best interest. Bids may not be withdrawn for 45 days after opening, except by written notice prior to the bid opening date. No oral interpretations, instructions, or explanations of the Bid Documents will be given prior to the opening of the bids. Discrepancies, ambiguities, or doubts as to the intent of a Bid Document should be communicated to the Architect in writing for interpretation. B. Interpretations of, clarifications of, amendments to or corrections to the Bid Documents will be made in writing in the form of addenda forwarded to each person to whom or each entity to which Bid Documents have been issued and will become part of the Bid Documents. Each Bidder must acknowledge receipt on the Bid Proposal Forms. Replies issued in any other manner will not be binding. The Architect will not be responsible for oral clarifications.
