Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Morganton, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; and one-story above grade multi-residential development.
Scope of work will consist of renovations and modernization of existing project and includes, but is not limited to: providing new asphalt parking areas and new asphalt drive paving, removing existing improvements as required, providing painted striping at parking areas, new retaining walls, new concrete walks adjacent to new parking, new stairs and railings, new underground storm piping, catch basins, and discharge, new ADA accessible parking spaces and accessible route to community building, pavilion, playground, and basketball court, coordinating accessible walk and entry at community building, removing existing playground equipment and surfacing, providing new 20'x20' pavilion, new playground, new playground/surfacing, new basketball court, new chain-link fencing at basketball court, new dumpster enclosure and pad, new grass seed and straw at all disturbed soil areas and all hatched areas as indicated on drawings, new painted striping of parking spaces and HC access aisles, all other work as shown on plans, in Project Manual, and as required by codes and the authority having jurisdiction. Questions that arise from the Site Visits are to be directed to the Architect at bids@stognerarchitecture.com. Bids must be accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check, or bid bond of not less than five percent of the proposal amount. A performance bond and payment bond for one hundred percent of the contract price, or a 20% cash escrow or a 25% letter of credit, is required. Contractors must have proper state licensing, meet economic opportunity requirements, and comply with equal employment/prevailing wage provisions. Bids may be hand-delivered, sent by mail or overnight service, or uploaded securely via Sharefile. Emailed or faxed bids will not be accepted. Late bids will not be accepted for any reason. No bids may be withdrawn for sixty days after submission. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. Payment will be made based on ninety percent of monthly estimates and final payment upon completion and acceptance of work.
