Provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to remove the current Bard wall mounted air conditioner and heater unit and replace it with a new 2-3-ton Bard air conditioner and heater or equivalent equipment. All new equipment must be compatible with the currently installed Bard dual AC and heat controller or be installed with a new dual controller. All work must be completed in accordance with the scope of work. Prior to submitting a quote, bidders must examine the scope of work and are highly recommended to visit the facility to take field measurements, conduct evaluations, and become familiar with existing conditions. This is a Small Business Set-aside and will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract awarded to the offeror with the lowest price. Offerors must be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov). Bidders are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to remove the current Bard wall mounted air conditioner and heater unit and replace it with a new 2-3-ton Bard air conditioner and heater or equivalent equipment. All new equipment must be compatible with currently installed Bard dual AC and heat controller or be installed with new dual controller. All work is to be completed in accordance with the scope of work. The Contractor to supply all plant, labor, materials, and equipment: o All materials, supplies, and equipment (MSE) must be new. The Contractor shall not reuse any existing MSE, unless directed to by the SOW. o Contractor shall provide supervision to ensure United States Coast Guard Standards are met for Quality and Safety o Contractor shall maintain a clean working area. o Contractor shall protect adjacent areas during the repairs/replacement. o Contractor shall provide signage to clearly indicate the area with work in progress. o Contractor shall remove and dispose of any trash or items not to be re-used. o Contractor shall ensure AC's units are electrically and mechanically isolated. o Contractor shall remove/ disconnect all existing interferences to allow removal of current air conditioning unit and installation of new air conditioning unit. o Contractor shall install new air conditioning units and controllers / reconnect interferences as necessary for operation of unit and building functions. o Upon installation of equipment, contractor shall complete a system check and test run in the presence of Facilities Engineering personnel ensuring newly installed air conditioning units operate correctly and within parameters.
