Renovation of a data center facility in Cumming, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a data center facility.

FCS is seeking a qualified company to provide and install a UPS replacement solution with associated components as per the terms of RFP P25-18 to include removal and disposal of the existing UPS and associated equipment. Provide a detailed description of how your company will provide the proposed services including equipment, installation, removal of old equipment and additional services as needed. UPS- Contractor shall list in detail all equipment to include makes and models that will be used for this project. If you are proposing equipment with specifications that different from what has been provided as a reference, you will be required to list those differences to include technical differences and how they meet or exceed all technical and non-technical specifications. For the purposes of this proposal, FCS has identified the following equipment and infrastructure as the basis for design to establish quality standards and meet certain criteria for standardization, compatibility and performance. Offerors are at liberty to propose alternate equivalent products as outlined in the RFP document under section 2.2 in the special terms and conditions. FCS will be the sole determinant if a proposed alternate product meets FCS expectations as being an equivalent solution for this project. Schneider Symmetra PX100 80kW UPS (2) Modular Battery Cabinets and Maintenance Bypass with PDU Sealed proposals will be received subject to the terms of the solicitation, at the office of the Director of Procurement Services, Forsyth County Schools, 2150 Keith Bridge Rd Cumming, GA 30040. Proposals will be received up to 3:00 PM Eastern time on January 22, 2026. All related bid documents for this solicitation are available for download. Listed below are the scope of work requirements associated with providing a turn-key solution for the UPS replacement to include removal and disposal of existing equipment. Contractor shall procure receive, handle, and stage the new UPS unit and associated components prior to install and removal of old equipment. Contractor will coordinate all services to include approval from FCS prior to coming onsite for any deliveries, assembly and disassembly. Contractor shall have capability to handle, uncrate, assemble and stage the UPS Unit near the 2nd floor data center at the Central Office 1120 Dahlonega Hwy Cumming GA, 30040. Transition- During a scheduled transition period of some seven (7) to nine (9) hours' time, contractor shall electrically disconnect the existing electrical input feeder from the maintenance bypass cabinet and the PDU cord sets from the UPS low voltage distribution sections. Contractor shall remove the existing UPS Symmetra PX80, MBP, XR Battery cabinet and RPP distribution cabinet along with any ancillary equipment items. All current equipment is located at the FCS Central Office 1120 Dahlonega Hwy Cumming, GA 3004. Contractor shall set in place and install the new UPS and accompanying battery cabinet, MBP & Distribution cabinet as specified. Contractor shall level cabinets, install interconnect wiring, re-install distribution cordsets / extend as necessary and reconnect the UPS unit input feeder. Contractor shall Replace the existing input feeder circuit breaker with a new 100% rated circuit breaker allowing the re-use the existing 350kCM conductors in lieu of replacing conductors. Contractor shall install shunt trip circuit as required for the UPS unit input feeder circuit breaker. Contractor shall provide labeling of the UPS unit disconnect & input feeder circuit breaker. Contractor shall assist with startup & commissioning of the new system. Any equipment or component not operating correctly shall be considered DOA (Dead on Arrival). All DOA items shall be replaced and not treated as a warranty replacement/issue. FCS shall sign off on installation and proper function prior to leaving facility. Contractor shall remove the current Symmetra PX80 UPS unit and associated equipment from the site and recycle the components. Please include with RFP response your ability to provide this service to include recycling all batteriescomplaint with EPA restrictions/regulations. FCS dumpster shall not be used for discarding equipment or trash. Services covered by this contract cannot take place before the contract start date of July 1, 2026 unless otherwise requested. Q/A:- All communications concerning this RFP must be submitted in writing to the FCSS Purchasing Department. Email to ttryan@forsyth.k12.ga.us is the preferred method of communication. Only written questions submitted via email or fax will be accepted. No response other than written, distributed by the Purchasing Department will be binding upon FCSS. User departments may be called upon for clarification in their area of expertise at the discretion of the Purchasing Department. Questions must be received by January 6, 2026. Questions will be answered in writing and posted on FCS Purchasing Website.
