Renovation of a transportation facility in Clarkston, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade transportation facility.
The Clarkston Community Schools' Board of Education is soliciting firm prime contractor bids for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural trades for renovations to the Clarkston transportation building. Bidding documents, consisting of plans and specifications, are available through PreconSuite, with support available from George W. Auch Company. Proposals must be submitted electronically through PreconSuite or as hard copies in duplicate using the forms provided and must be completed in full, sealed in an opaque envelope, and marked with the bidder's name and project name. Bids must be addressed and delivered to Clarkston Community Schools or submitted electronically, with a deadline of 12:00 pm (EST) on the specified date. Each proposal over $31,321 must include a bid bond or cashier's check for at least 5% of the proposal sum. Successful bidders for proposals of $50,000 or more must provide a 100% Performance and Payment Bond. Each bid must include notarized statements regarding familial relationships, compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, Equal Opportunity, and Criminal Background Checks. Proposals are firm for sixty days. The Board of Education may reject any or all bids or award contracts at its discretion. The Board reserves the right to accept the bid they deem to be in the best interest of the Owner. The scope of work shall specifically include, yet not be limited to the following items for the entire set of documents: 1. Provide all labor, material & equipment necessary to complete the selective demolition. Provide shoring where necessary to complete selective demolition scope of work. 2. Provide saw cutting and removal of interior concrete as indicated. Coordinate exact sawcut locations with MEP contractors. Prior to saw cutting, a ground penetrating radar scan is to be completed by demo contractor and reviewed with CM/Owner. 3. Provide saw cutting and removal of exterior asphalt for stair foundations. Coordinate exact locations with concrete and steel contractor. 4. Doors must be secured by the end of each work day. 5. Demolish and legally dispose of all items indicated by the documents. 6. Provide dust enclosures and barriers. 7. Do not demolish any items that are indicated to remain, kept operational, or to be re-used. Protect adjacent finishes to remain. 8. Provide daily clean up, removal, and legal disposal of all debris and excess material. Include dumpsters as required for this scope of work. Maintain streets and existing parking lots free from dirt, mud, and gravel. 9. Provide final broom cleaning upon completion of work. Pre-Bid RFI Due Date December 23rd, 2025 Question Deadline 12/30/2025 Should a bidder find discrepancies or ambiguities in, or omissions from the Contract Documents, or should it be in doubt as to their true meaning, it shall notify the Architect or Construction Manager at once, or in any case not less than seven (7) days before the proposal due date.
