Contract Opportunity Type: Sources Sought The contractor shall provide professional pavement striping and decal marking services for the Washington DC VA Medical Center campus, including all parking lots, street markings, curbs, and two parking garages. Work must comply with EPA VOC regulations, District Department of Transportation (DDOT) standards, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to remove or clean faded or non-compliant markings and apply new high-durability, traffic-grade pavement marking materials suitable for indoor and outdoor use. All paints and materials must be low-VOC and approved for use in Washington DC, and decals and stencils must be non-slip and weather-resistant. Tasks include layout and marking of parking stalls, ADA spaces, access aisles, hash ways, directional arrows, stop bars, stop lines, turning lanes, and curbs, as well as installation of required stencils and decals such as ADA symbols and traffic legends. Markings shall be crisp, uniform, properly color-coded, and reflective for night visibility. Work shall be phased and coordinated to minimize disruption to facility operations and parking access. Deliverables include a pre-work plan detailing schedule and traffic management, material submittals for VA approval, and a completion report with as-built drawings or marked-up site maps. The contractor must follow OSHA safety regulations, use proper signage and barricades during work, and dispose of waste materials in accordance with EPA and local environmental regulations. All markings and decals shall be warranted against premature fading, peeling, or loss of reflectivity for at least one year from acceptance.
