SCOPE OR MISSION. The Scope of this effort includes an acquisition to deliver a mobile and transportable microreactor system capable of providing resilient, long-duration, carbon-free electrical power to support DHS missions relating to continuity, emergency response, operational resilience, and national preparedness. This effort shall deliver ten (10) mobile microreactor systems that meet the following broad requirements: Mobility performance within the required operational envelope; and Ability to deliver functioning microreactors before 31 December 2028. Key deliverable attributes o 1-5 MWe continuous electrical output o >=3-10 years core life without refueling o Sealed-core, factory-fueled design o Minimal site preparation and onsite operation o Transportability by road/rail/barge o Compatibility with microgrids, black-start, and remote monitoring o Compliance with NRC or DOE/DoD authorization pathways
