Project has been rebid The project involves the construction on US-61 Scenic Highway from LA-408 Harding Boulevard to Swan Avenue under City-Parish Project No. 20-EN-HC-0006. The scope of work includes grading, earthwork, drainage structure modifications, asphaltic concrete pavement, lighting, striping, signing, and associated items of work. Bids may be submitted electronically or on paper. All bids, amendments, or withdrawal requests received after the specified bid opening time will not be considered. Bids must be firm for sixty (60) days from the opening and cannot be withdrawn during this period except as allowed by statute. A Certified Check or Cashier's Check payable to the Parish of East Baton Rouge, or a satisfactory Bid Bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid, must be submitted with each bid. Bids will only be received from contractors in whose name the solicitation forms and/or specifications were issued. A minimum Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (SEDBE) goal of 14% of the contract amount is established. Bidders must meet this goal or demonstrate good faith efforts and submit supporting documentation. Only SEDBE-certified firms at the time of bid submittal will count toward the goal, and specific forms and certification letters must be submitted within ten days of bid opening. All contractors must comply with the State Licensing Law for Contractors, and must hold an active license in the classification of Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction if required, showing the license number on the bid envelope and form. The City-Parish reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
