The project involves the site development and installation of a new water tower in Wapakoneta. Bidders are required to pay at least the minimum wage rates established by the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages. Attention is drawn to various insurance requirements and equal opportunity provisions. The procurement encourages participation from small businesses in rural areas. The current negotiated goal for construction related activitiesis 5.4% (the total goal is based on 3.1% of MBEs and 2.3% of WBEs participation). The Work covered under this Contract shall consist of all excavation, foundation construction, backfill, construction access roadway construction, fabrication, erection, painting, disinfection, site work, site clean-up and rough grading shown on the plans and specified in these Specifications for the fabrication and erection of a 3,000,000 gallon composite elevated water tank including foundation, painting, and accessories. The above description shall serve as general information only and shall not be construed to limit the contractor's responsibility or obligation to comply with the Contract Documents and Detailed Technical Specifications. The date by which Substantial Completion must be achieved is March 31, 2028, and the date by which readiness for final payment must be achieved is April 30, 2028. Question Deadline 01/02/2026 Bidder must submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing.
