Renovation of a multi-residential development in Lafayette, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The Work for this project is generally described as demolition of all interior finishes, doors, frames, windows, kitchen and bathroom casework, plumbing fixtures, faucets, wall heaters and accessories, and electrical panels, fixtures, and devices. Additionally, renovation and installation of new interior finishes, attic and wall insulation, doors and frames, windows and trim, kitchen and bathroom casework, plastic laminate tops, bathroom accessories, plumbing fixtures and faucets, central HVAC systems including all trim, ductwork, condensing units, and accessories, electrical panels, circuits, wiring, and wall devices, and other necessary and required work for proper installation of same as described in the specifications and construction documents. A BID SECURITY (a certified check or bank draft made payable to the Housing Authority, U. S. Government Bonds, or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable Sureties) in the amount of five percent (5.0%) of the highest possible bid amount is required. Bids are required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submittal. Contractor shall use the Bid Form provided in the Bid Documents. Refer to Document 00 21 13 Instructions to Bidders and 00 43 93 Bid Submittal Checklist for additional information. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds. Attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the specifications under the Davis-Bacon Act must be paid on this project. The HOUSING AUTHORITY reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. Bidders should be aware that the project is funded by Capital Fund Program of the Department of Housing & Urban Development of the Government of the United States. Question Deadline 01/05/2026 at 3:30 PM CT The Owner requires the Architect to issue Substantial Completion of the Work on or before 120 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Thereafter, liquidated damages will be charged.
