Renovation of a municipal facility in Lafayette, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The work consists of furnishing all material, labor, tools, and supervision for the re-roofing of the War Memorial Building Roof Replacement. All work is to be completed within 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The contractor shall pay liquidated damages of $1,500 per calendar day for each day beyond the completion date that the work is not complete. Only a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check shall be submitted as bid security. Electronic bids require copies of both the front and back of the check or bid bond. Bids must be signed in accordance with LRS Title 38:2212(B)5, accompanied by a Corporate Resolution or Certificate of Authority authorizing the person signing the bid. Contractors or contracting firms submitting bids of $50,000.00 or more must be licensed under Chapter 24 of Title 37 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 for Building Construction and must show their license number on the front of the sealed envelope. The successful bidder must execute performance and labor and material payment bonds in the full contract amount. Participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) is strongly encouraged. Bids shall be evaluated based on the lowest responsible and responsive bid in compliance with the bid documents. The government reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
