Sealed bids (one original) are requested for the construction project BID #32-26, Cooler Replacement at Lafayette Elementary School, 1301 W University Ave., Lafayette, Louisiana. Bids must be submitted to the Lafayette Parish School System Purchasing Department, either in person or electronically through www.centerlinebidconnect.com. Delivery to any other department is unacceptable. The work under this contract must be completed by July 31, 2026, with liquidated damages of $1,000 per consecutive calendar day assessed for delays beyond this date. Complete Bidding Documents are available electronically at www.centerlinebidconnect.com. Printed copies must be arranged through reprographic firms at the bidder's expense. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond (Owner's form), payable to the Lafayette Parish School System, for five percent (5%) of the proposed Base Bid plus all alternates. Money Orders are not accepted. The successful Bidder must provide a Performance and Payment Bond equal to 100% of the contract amount, using the School Board's forms, in compliance with Louisiana law. Only contractors licensed by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors for the classification of Building Construction may submit bids. Bids may not be withdrawn for forty-five (45) days after receipt except per La. R.S. 38:2214. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at Lafayette Elementary School. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. Participation of minority business enterprises is strongly encouraged in contract and procurement activities. WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Removal of existing cooler/freezer concrete slab necessary to receive new equipment. 2. Preparation of existing conditions to receive new equipment. 3. Disposal of all waste materials in a legal manner. 4. Protection of the public, workmen and facilities at all times. 5. The owner reserves the right to provide independent inspection services at their
