Site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. Working plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool; for the construction of a warehouse / distribution facility; and for site work for a warehouse / distribution facility.

**As of January 26, 2026, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. Project will be rebid but no definite date yet.** The project includes, but not limited to, grading, concrete flat work, plumbing installation, gas fitting, and landscaping to facilitate the installation of a pool heater system at the existing Wald Park Aquatic Complex located at 720 Waldridge Road, Vestavia Hills, Alabama 35216. The project also includes add alternates to build a new storage building, thermal pool blanket and storage rack, aand general storage racks. The new storage building is masonry and steel construction to match the existing facility architecture. Question Deadline 01/02/2026 at 5:00 PM CT Questions regarding this project should be directed, in writing, to Hayden Dumestre at Doster Construction (hdumestre@dosterconstruction.com) and Matt Foley at Williams Blackstock Architects (matt@wba-architects.com) he Contract Time for this project is 130 consecutive calendar days from the effective date of the written Notice to Proceed to Substantial Completion. Liquidated damages will be assessed if the time limit is exceeded. Questions regarding this project should be directed, in writing, to Hayden Dumestre at Doster Construction (hdumestre@dosterconstruction.com) and Matt Foley at Williams Blackstock Architects (matt@wba-architects.com) up until 5:00pm local time three (3) business days prior to bid opening. Documents will be provided digitally in .pdf form only, neither Owner or Engineer will be responsible for the cost or printing of copies. No bid shall be considered or accepted by the Owner or Engineer unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a bid bond executed by a surety company duly authorized and qualified to make such bonds in the State of Alabama, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, but in no event more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000), payable to the owner. A separate performance bond and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100% of the contract price will be required at the contract execution. Carriers must be authorized to do business in the State of Alabama. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive technical errors and/or abandon the prequalification and bid process if, in their judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
