As of August 4, 2026, the construction manager has completed this work. The project includes, but not limited to, grading, concrete flat work, plumbing installation, gas fitting, and landscaping to facilitate the installation of a pool heater system at the existing Wald Park Aquatic Complex located at 720 Waldridge Road, Vestavia Hills, Alabama 35216. The project also includes add alternates to build a new storage building, thermal pool blanket and storage rack, aand general storage racks. The new storage building is masonry and steel construction to match the existing facility architecture. No bid shall be considered or accepted by the Owner or Engineer unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a bid bond executed by a surety company duly authorized and qualified to make such bonds in the State of Alabama, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, but in no event more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000), payable to the owner. A separate performance bond and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100% of the contract price will be required at the contract execution. Carriers must be authorized to do business in the State of Alabama.
