Renovation of a mixed-use development in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and educational facility.
The scope of work is to provide a structured cabling solution for Farmington Public Schools, including demolition of existing cabling and the installation of new structured cabling. The system will include warranty, installation, and integration services. The work will involve replacing the existing cabling, including fiber between wiring closets, and relocating wiring closets at several school buildings. Instructions to bidders include submitting proposals with a printed original, a printed copy, and a thumb drive with electronic files, all in a sealed package marked accordingly. Proposals must include required forms such as familial relationship disclosure and an Iran Linked Business Affidavit. Proposals should be organized with an executive summary, vendor response forms, a project plan with an installation schedule, a description of the project team's qualifications, technical product brochures, an electronic version of Appendix A, and a bill of materials. Vendors must indicate compliance or exceptions to the requirements and are required to notify the District if any products become End-of-Life or End-of-Support during the project. All proposals must be submitted by the stated deadline and comply with all outlined requirements. Farmington Public Schools Structured Cabling RFP Page 5 of 38 December 2025 Prepared by Plante Moran Anticipated award date March 2026 Requests for clarification shall be submitted by email only to: Drew Youngstrom, Plante Moran PLLC Drew.Youngstrom@plantemoran.com Each vendor that intends to submit a proposal in response to this RFP should communicate its intent via email to Drew.Youngstrom@plantemoran.com To facilitate the comparison of vendor proposals, it is required that each proposal be organized into the following sections: 1.8.1 Executive summary The executive summary should, at a minimum, include the following: Executive letter highlighting how the proposed solution achieves the objectives of the District. This letter is to be signed by an officer of the organization submitting the proposal. Organizational overview: A brief overview of the organization. Experience: Describe your company's experience with similar projects.
