Site work and paving for a road / highway in Salem, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The contract will consist of work on the 2026 CCMG Jackson Street from Elm Street to SR 160 in the City of Salem. Sealed bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the project title and the bidder's name and address. All bids must use the forms identified in the contract documents and include a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond made payable to the Owner for at least 5% of the total bid amount. Performance and payment bonds from an acceptable surety company, amounting to 100% of the contract price, are required upon contract execution and must remain effective for the duration of the construction contract plus twelve months from substantial completion. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to combine bids as deemed desirable, and to waive informalities. Bids may be withdrawn before the scheduled bid opening. No bid may be withdrawn for at least sixty days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Owner may investigate bidder qualifications and may reject bids if qualifications are not satisfactory. Bids must be executed on the forms included in the contract documents and must contain all information requested by Indiana Form 96 (Revised 2013). For projects of $150,000 or more, bidders must submit a written plan for an employee drug testing program that complies with relevant Indiana Code sections. Each bidder is responsible for inspecting the project site and becoming familiar with all contract documents and specifications. Failure to do so does not relieve any obligation regarding the bid.
