Allegany College of Maryland requests proposals to replace the existing chillers in the College Center building. This process will involve the demolition & removal of all existing chillers and their associated systems, piping, hangars, etc. After completion of demolition and removal, two new modular style chillers, new chilled water and condenser water pumps, new controls, and a new refrigerant detection system will be installed. DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED: Per Specifications 1. Demolish and remove the existing chillers, associated condenser and chilled water pumps and all associated piping, hangers, accessories and controls associated with such items. 2. Demolish and remove the existing Electric Water Heater and prepare piping for direct replacement. 3. Furnish and install two (2) new modular style chillers including all accessories and controls. 4. Furnish and install a new chilled water and condenser water pump for each new chiller including new VFD 5. Furnish and install all new controls for each system, tied into the existing campus Johnson Controls Automatic Temperature Control System. 6. Furnish and install a new refrigerant detection system including new monitor panel and refrigerant detectors in compliance with ASHRAE Standard 15. The new system is to interlock with the existing Exhaust fan which will remain and be reused. 7. All other miscellaneous work shown on the Drawings and as herein specified. iscellaneous Information: 1. All costs of bid preparation and permits shall be borne by prospective vendors. 2. All submitted bids will become the property of Allegany College of Maryland and can be revealed to outside consultants as well as State and Federal agencies. 3. ACM will require a performance bond for this project. 4. Maryland prevailing wages must be used on bids at or above two hundred-fifty thousand dollars ($250,000). 5. Prospective bidders are to include warranty details pertaining to the completed project with the bid proposal.
