New turf installation, turf removal, base repair, turf reinstallation, and bonded rubber mulch installation within designated areas of the dog park. Work includes removal of existing synthetic turf where root intrusion has occurred, preparing the base for proper installation, reinstalling existing turf, and installing bonded rubber mulch around specific tree ring areas. Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment for renovation. Question Deadline 01/12/2026 at 9:00 AM ET Any and all questions or requests for information or clarification pertaining to this solicitation must be made in writing via email to procurement@keybiscayne.fl.gov 2.2 DETAILED SCOPE OF WORK 2.2.1 Turf Installation, Removal and Reinstallation i. Install approximately 150 Sq. Ft. of new artificial turf with a concrete boarder on three (3) sides and glue perimeter edging to the new and existing border. ii. Remove existing synthetic turf in all areas where roots have caused lifting or surface distortion. iii. Root removal to be performed by the selected contractor. iv. Prepare sub-base including: a. Up to 2 inches of crushed aggregate b. Top layer of compacted sand c. Final grading for proper leveling and drainage v. Pour new concrete border along all locations where turf was lifted to secure edges. vi. Reinstall existing synthetic turf: a. Cut and seam per manufacturer specifications b. Glue perimeter edging and seams using heavy-duty outdoor turf adhesive vii. Apply new Envirofill infill throughout both dog parks and power broom into turf fibers. 2.2.2 Bonded Rubber Mulch Installation i. Install 540 sq ft of bonded rubber mulch across nine (9) total tree rings located within the small and large dog park areas. ii. Remove existing sod and soil where necessary. iii. Excavate and grade each tree ring to accommodate: a. Up to 2 inches of crushed aggregate base iv. Install recycled rubber mulch mixed with aromatic binder in all nine (9) tree rings. v. Ensure clean, finished edges and uniform depth throughout. vi. All square footage includes waste factors. 2.3 MATERIALS i. New and existing synthetic turf (to be reused) ii. New Envirofill infill iii. Bonded rubber mulch (Rustic color) iv. Crushed aggregate and sand base materials v. Concrete for perimeter border vi. Heavy-duty outdoor turf adhesive 2.4 EXCLUSIONS i.
